Hairstylist DANIEL CURET is now contributing
editor for Local 706 magazine THE ARTISAN
ARTISAN MAGAZINE INTERVIEWS To introduce myself... I became inspired to become a contributing reporter for The Artisan Magazine when Sheryl Blum, our craft meeting president, expressed a desire from the hairstylists attending the craft meetings to elicit more hair related articles. At that point I offered my two cents worth to Sue Cabral and Jeff Bangell to re-vamp, as best as I could, the hair and make-up column... my idea is that, as artists, we are not often writers and it is just as easy to have an interview about the project that is being featured. Of course, as always, the magazine welcomes contributions from those among our members that are writers as well. All we need is a clear digital picture of your work with a brief description, the name of your show, your contact information and the contact information for the pr person involved with the show e-mailed to susan@ialocal706.org. All of my interviews will be basically the same (loosely based on interviews in Interview Magazine and the Proust Questionnaire in Vanity Fair) so that we can get to know each other a little better. Hopefully, I will be able to stock pile enough interviews so that we can have some issues that will contain more than just two (one make-up one hair from one show). I would like to have submissions from all of our venues: film, theatre, television (daytime and evening),commercials and music videos.
